‘The existence of a shura is a sign of improvement in our society - it is our government’, says 24 year old Sara, who comes from one of the poorest families in Housche village. The male shura of Housche has appointed her to be the carpet-weaving trainer of the village. Sara will provide guidance to the weavers of the village and earn a much needed income to support her three children.
