Many children in Housche village of Gulran district contracted malaria because school lessons used to take place in the open-air and pupils would be covered in mosquito bites. Now, with the help of the village shura and Afghan non-governmental organisations, a school has been built on the outskirts of Housche, where children can attend classes in far better conditions.
