You take a wrong turn in the bowels of the Docklands one day, and come across someone from a completely different walk of life. Then somehow, inexplicably almost, you spend two weeks studying them, watching them, photographing them, and immersing yourself in their lives.
Orville, 29, came to the UK from Jamaica about five years ago. He can fix anything related to cars, and his body is probably 34 per cent engine oil.
In his spare time from the garage he goes banger racing and trashes cars at the Lakeside arena in Essex. Then on Sunday mornings he dons a sharp silk suit and goes to ‘Built on the Rock’ evangelical church in Bethnal Green.
Here’s a glimpse at Orville’s life.
